admittedly blogging, or whatever one wishes to label it, is a very subjective affair. had I lots of money i could pay somebody to write my own blog and conversly since i have little money i therefore have to write my own. in correlation to this is the frequency with which new posts appear. had i been the aforementioned 'rich person' or even just a student at uni i would be posting daily and inflicting upon the world my own deep dark thoughts (or rather comical, unusual and down right call a therapist weird thoughts). but fortunately (or unfortunately- however you wish to view it) i don't have all the time. so when i do sit down to write this i feel i ought to invest in a proper retelling of stories of interest and other stuff that will contribute to making the world a better place.

oh, right, before my ramblings begin properly in earnest i must correct a prior mistake (which fortunately nobody commented on from my previous post. in fact nobody comments on my post, makes one feel like nobody else is reading this. which makes me slightly relaxed). anyway, i called Tintin a little blog, i meant boy. a little boy with a white dog. there, sorted that.

i haven't read any more Tintin, if you must ask, aside from a quick glance whilst in the midnight queue for Harry Potter 7 at Waterstones. Yes, I have read it. Yes i think it is reasonably good and a nice tie up for most of the ends J K Rowling had most positively left flailing in the wind with previous books. of course i have criticisms of the book, i wouldn't be english if i didn't, but they shall be saved for another post.

right, update on life. new job starts 3rd september. sister popped twin girls out her belly on Wednesday so i'm an uncle twice more (shout out, or rather whisper out to Katie Eliza and Isabelle Rose). looking at the acquisition of a new voiture for my daily commute as maureen needs to finally be retired. and finally (Trevor MacDonald -i've stolen your buzzword, sue me!) i've oh erm, no and finally really. go play football.

i should end in a positive and proper way. yeah that'd be

well listening to that FT report on ABN Amro was no real use for my interview, but with a bit of discussion about the future of Virgin Trains and my views on Bill Gates and Microsoft I managed to get through and they've only gone and offered me a job.

i must now follow trends and talk about the fact i haven't posted for a week or so, it's because I was in France on holiday. there. told you.

and finally, (oh, I sound all Trevor MacDonald, I should really be talking about something unusual that happened involving a hamster or something, hmm), i've discovered the joys of Tintin (you know, the little blog with the white dog, think he's Belgian - but speaks remarkable English).

...

to continue where I left off, there I was sitting at work, listening to the FT.com TV report on the ABN Amro takeover bid from RBS/Santander/Fortis when I realised I was sat writing for a blog. my blog, and I was rather concerned. see I like to think of myself as trying to avoid the popular trends, trying my hardest to avoid ebay once it started to get mentioned in popular comedy shows, and pretty much everywhere else for example. but I had to do it, if only to be one of those billion or so people who start blogs but never finish them.

perhaps this is a chance to vent my frustrations, perhaps it's as I've suggested before just a chance for me to further present evidence to people that my mind is quite obscure and weird. or perhaps its a chance to grab a tiny bit of the webspaceinterarpranet (yes, I still like to remember the web's heritage) and make sure it's filled with absolute nothingness. balderdash. marshmallows wrapped in halibut, grilled under a light heat for fifteen minutes before being subsequently left in a disused margarine tub and placed on the back of a barbary ape for adventure.
